Registry-style ceremonies by civil celebrants, not a government registry office. No fuss, no frills, no wedding. Just paperwork.

Have A Friend As Celebrant

If you want a friend or family member involved, the easiest option is usually to separate the legal marriage from the personal celebration.

The simple option

You can:

  • do the legal marriage with us
  • then have your friend lead a separate non-legal ceremony or celebration

That way, the legal part is done properly and your friend can still play a meaningful role.

What your friend can do

Your friend can:

  • lead a symbolic ceremony
  • share stories, readings, or vows
  • host the celebration

What your friend cannot do

Unless they are legally authorised, they cannot:

  • solemnise the marriage
  • sign as the celebrant
  • issue the legal marriage certificate

Important fit check

If you want the legal marriage to happen as part of a full guest ceremony on the same day, that is closer to a full wedding service than a paperwork-only booking.

For that, use Josh Withers.
