Registry-style ceremonies by civil celebrants, not a government registry office. No fuss, no frills, no wedding. Just paperwork.

Paperwork-Only Marriage in Newcastle NSW

If you want to get married without planning a whole wedding, this is the service for you.

A paperwork-only marriage is a short legal marriage. It is for couples who want the marriage done properly, cheaply, and simply.

We are private celebrants. We are not a government registry office.

What a paperwork-only marriage includes

  • an authorised celebrant
  • the required legal wording
  • your legal vows
  • signing the marriage documents
  • marriage registration after the ceremony
  • a ceremonial certificate on the day

What it does not include

  • walking down an aisle
  • a long personal ceremony
  • a guest-focused wedding
  • styling or production
  • a full elopement package

No fuss. No frills. No wedding. Just paperwork.

How the booking process works

  1. Click Get Married and fill out the booking form.
  2. Pay the fee.
  3. Prepare your NOIM on NOIM Easy and have it witnessed by an authorised witness.
  4. Send the paperwork to us.
  5. Once the paperwork is received, we confirm the date, time, and place based on the paperwork and our availability.
  6. Meet us with your two adult witnesses, say the legal words, sign the documents, and you are married.

What the law still requires

Even though the ceremony is simple, the legal rules still matter.

You will usually need:

  • a NOIM given to your celebrant at least one month before the marriage
  • identity documents showing your date and place of birth
  • divorce or death documents if either of you has been married before
  • official English translations if documents are not in English
  • two witnesses aged 18 or over
  • both of you physically present for the ceremony

Before the marriage is solemnised, the celebrant must also physically meet each party separately.

  • want the cheapest and easiest way to get married locally
  • do not want a wedding
