Registry-style ceremonies by civil celebrants, not a government registry office. No fuss, no frills, no wedding. Just paperwork.

Marriage Planning for a Prospective Marriage Visa

This page is about the marriage planning side of things, not migration advice.

If you need visa advice, use the Department of Home Affairs or a registered migration agent.

What we can help with

We can help with the marriage process itself, including:

  • booking the service
  • preparing the NOIM
  • checking documents
  • explaining the legal marriage steps

What we cannot do

We cannot:

  • give migration advice
  • predict visa outcomes
  • approve or influence a visa application

Marriage timing still matters

The normal Australian marriage rules still apply:

  • the NOIM must usually be given at least one month before the marriage
  • the NOIM can usually be given up to 18 months before the marriage
  • the marriage itself must still happen in person

Helpful next steps

Ready to get married?

Fill out the booking form, pay the fee, prepare your NOIM on NOIM Easy, then we confirm the date, time, and place once the paperwork is in and we know availability. You can also browse our local wedding directory, compare marriage celebrants in Newcastle, read the blog, or contact us if you are unsure which option fits.
