Registry-style ceremonies by civil celebrants, not a government registry office. No fuss, no frills, no wedding. Just paperwork.

One Month's Notice Guide

Australian marriage law usually requires your celebrant to receive your NOIM at least one month before the marriage.

What that means in practice

If your celebrant receives the NOIM on:

  • 10 April, the earliest normal marriage date is 10 May
  • 3 June, the earliest normal marriage date is 3 July
  • 22 August, the earliest normal marriage date is 22 September

The date that matters is when the celebrant receives the NOIM, not when you first enquire or pay the fee.

Important points

  • the NOIM can usually be lodged up to 18 months before the marriage
  • if there is less than one month, you need a shortening of time
  • the marriage date is still subject to availability once the paperwork is in

Why this matters for booking

Our process is:

  1. You book and pay.
  2. You complete the NOIM.
  3. The NOIM is witnessed properly.
  4. We receive the paperwork.
  5. We confirm the date, time, and place once the legal timing and availability line up.
